Sheikh Russel U-19 Badminton competition begins tomorrow
DHAKA - Sheikh Russel U-19 Badminton competition will begin tomorrow (Wednesday) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun is expected to inaugurate the four-day meet as the chief guest while Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF) president and information commissioner (Senior Secretary) Dr Abdul Malek, Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) deputy secretary general Ashikur Rahman Miku, 'Sheikh Russel Jatio Shishu-Kishore Parisad' adviser Sirajul Islam Mollah and BBF general secretary Kabirul Islam Sikder will present as special guests.
'Sheikh Russel Jatio Shishu-Kishore Parisad' secretary general KM Shahid Ullah will preside over the opening ceremony.
Organised by 'Sheikh Russel Jatio Shishu-Kishore Parisad', near about three hundred shuttlers are going to take part in the boys' singles and doubles, and girls' singles and doubles events of the competition which will be held on October 18 (Sheikh Russel Day), the birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.BSS
