Delwar Hossain Sayeedi's body taken to Pirojpur
The body of former politician and lecturer Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who died of heart attack on Monday night, was taken to his village home Pirojpur.
The body of former politician and lecturer Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who died of heart attack on Monday night, was taken to his village home Pirojpur district on Tuesday morning.
Seeing the body, his followers burst into tears.
The body reached on Sayeedi's foundation premise at 10am where a large number of people were waiting.
Convicted war criminal Delwar Hossain Sayeedi has passed away at the age of 83.
He breathed his last around 8:40 pm on Monday (August 14) while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital.
Brig. Gen. Dr. Md. Rezaur Rahman confirmed the information.
Sayeedi, who was in Kashimpur jail, fell ill on Sunday (August 13) and was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur immediately. From there he was referred to BSMMU in Dhaka.
