RAB arrests 26 people across country over vandalism, sabotage

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in different raids has arrested a total of 26 people, including Jubo Dal leaders, from different parts of the country in the cases filed over vandalism, arson, and sabotage centering BNP-Jamaat's rallies and nationwide blockade.

"RAB conducted raids in different areas of the country including the capital Dhaka today and arrested 26 people in connection with vandalism, arsons and violence in different parts of the country, including the attack and
vandalism at the residence of the Chief Justice," Senior ASP (legal and media) of RAB AANM Imran Khan told BSS this evening.

Opposition political party member and "local cadre" Oli Hossain was arrested
from Bheramara area of Kushtia while Sreepur Upazila Chhatra Dal member
secretary Aminul from Jaina Bazar area of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur and
local Union Parishad member Dulal was arrested from Golapganj upazila of Sylhet, he said.

Besides, three people were arrested from Narayanganj while one from Gazipur, one from Manikganj, one person from Rajshahi, eight from Jashore, one from Faridpur, one from Mymensingh and two people from Cox's Bazar were arrested in cases filed over vandalizing vehicles and arson attacks, reports BSS.

Imran said necessary legal action has been taken against the arrested.
