A total of 231 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and 425 patrol teams of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order on second day of the 48-hour hartal called by BNP and like-minded opposition parties.
A total of 231 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order, confirmed Shariful Islam, public relations officer (PRO) at BGB headquarters, on Monday (November 20).
Besides, an adequate number of BGB platoons have been kept as standby force, he said.
Meanwhile, 425 patrol teams of RAB have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order, according to RAB Legal and Media Wing.
