Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will virtually address election rallies in six districts on Saturday.



Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will virtually address election rallies in six districts on Saturday ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections. 

She will join the public meetings from the party’s political office in Dhaka’s Tejgaon are at 3pm, said a press release signed by Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua on Thursday.

The media release adds that the Awami League will hold election rallies in Kushtia, Jhenaidah, and Satkhira districts of Khulna division, Barguna district in Barisal division, Netrokona district in Mymensingh division, and Rangamati district in Chittagong division on Saturday.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged all concerned to hold the virtual public meeting successfully.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina started her party’s election campaign from Sylhet. 

She visited the shrines of Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) and Hazrat Shah Paran (R) and joined a rally at Alia Madrasah in the city. 

The 12th national polls is scheduled to be held on January 7.
