1.6kg gold seized at Ctg airport

Customs intelligence seized over 1.6 kg of gold from a Dubai returnee at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Wednesday (February 21).

The gold was seized from the luggage of a passenger who came from Dubai in the morning.

Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed confirmed the matter and said the flight FZ-0563 from Dubai landed at the Shah Amanat airport at 9:48 am. 

Based on information that a passenger brought gold from Dubai illegally in a bag, members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) conducted a drive and seized 1.619 Kg of gold from the bag of the passenger, he said.
