National Moon sighting committee to sit Tuesday

Dhaka, Apr 08 -The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit on Tuesday to fix the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims.

The meeting will be held at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office in the capital around 6:30 pm after Maghrib prayers, said a press release of Islamic Foudnation on Monday

Religious Affairs Minister Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.

People have been requested to inform the committee through the following phone and fax numbers if they see the Shawwal moon anywhere in Bangladesh sky.
