New air chief calls on President at Bangabhaban

Newly appointed Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan today called on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban here today.

The President welcomed the new air chief while President’s wife Dr. Rebeka Sultana was present on the occasion.
President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin briefed the newsmen after the meeting.
The President said under Forces Goal-2030, the present government is implementing comprehensive programs for the development of the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The Head of State expected that under the new air chief’s leadership, Bangladesh Air Force would go ahead further in days to come, reports BSS.
"I believe that coordination between the Army, Navy and Air Force will further accelerate the development of the country's armed forces," said the President, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.The new air chief sought the guidance and cooperation of the President in carrying out his assignments.
Secretaries concerned to the President's office were present there.
