PM joins post-budget dinner hosted by Finance Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today joined a post-budget dinner hosted by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) here.

On her arrival at the venue, the prime minister was received by Kamal.
Later, Sheikh Hasina accompanied by the finance minister went round different tables and exchanged pleasantries with the guests.
Speaker of the House, Deputy Leader of the House, cabinet members, PM's advisers, state ministers, whips and parliament members, among others, were present, reports BSS.
The Jatiya Sangsad today passed Taka 7,61,785 crore national budget for 2023-24 fiscal year.
The finance minister moved the Appropriations Bill-2023 passed unanimously by voice vote.
The House passed the Finance Bill-2023, with some major changes as proposed by the finance minister to the original one placed before the House at the time of the presentation of the budget for FY23-24 on June 1 last.
With the passage of both the Appropriation Bill-2023 and the Money Bill-2023, the national budget of Taka Tk 7,61,785 crore for the Fiscal Year 2023-24 will effect from July 1.
