BGB deployed in Dhaka, 3 other districts as clashes erupt over quota



Dhaka, July 16 - The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Bogura on Tuesday afternoon amid the deteriorating law and order situation centering quota reform movement.

A press release signed by Md Shariful Islam, public relations officer of BGB headquarters, was issued in this regard on Tuesday.

UNB’s Chattogram correspondent reported that three platoons of the BGB have been in place since the afternoon as three quota protesters died in a clash with law enforcers and members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League.
