13 injured today in clashes over quota protests in Dhaka

Thirteen people, including students and pedestrians, were treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) today in clashes related to the ongoing quota protests.


The incidents happened between the morning and 3 pm in and around Dhaka University, said Inspector Md Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost.

The injured were identified as Md. Kawsar (20), Md. Oliullah (27), Md. Nayeem (24), Md. Saidul Islam (26), Md. Iqbal Hossain (40), Md. Sohan (28), Limon (15), Mizan (20), Ferdous (40), Awami Mahila League activist Kabita (45) from Mirpur, Nasrin (48), Rahima (50), and Cumilla Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Law College student Md Nadim Uddin Khokon (27), reports UNB.

Among the injured, Md. Kawsar and Md. Oliullah were admitted while the others were released after receiving treatment, said the police official.
