Prof Ali Riaz appointed head of Constitution Reform Commission

Prof Riaz has been appointed Head of constitution Reform Commission replacing Dr. Shahdeen Malik



Dhaka, Sept 18 - Professor Ali Riaz has been appointed as the head of the Constitution Reform Commission. 

The announcement was made today through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.

The notification mentioned that during his speech to the nation on September 11, Interim Government Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus announced the formation of six commissions to initiate reforms and named the heads of each commission.

Dr. Shahdeen Malik was initially named as the head of the Constitution Reform Commission. However, Prof Ali Riaz has now been appointed to replace him in this role.

Ali Riaz, a distinguished political scientist, is a professor at Illinois State University in the United States, a senior non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council, and the president of the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies (AIBS).-UNB
