5 including ex-Narsingdi Bar Association Secy Md Ali injured during an attack led by local JCD leader Nahid

Narsingdi, Oct 02 - At least five individuals, including former Narsingdi Bar Association Secretary Mohammad Ali Tutul, sustained injuries during an attack led by local Chhatra Dal leader Siddiqur Rahman Nahid on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at the District Bar Association office in Narsingdi over filing a murder case.

Eyewitnesses reported that around 4:30 pm, hundreds of outsiders, under Nahid's leadership, stormed the Bar Association office, resulting in the injuries of five people.

Advocates Kazi Mamun and Kazi Masud were also among the injured.

Kazi Nazmul Islam, president of the Bar Association, said that the plaintiff was unclear about the case and had approached them to withdraw it. Following this news, Nahid and his followers allegedly vandalized the office and attempted to assault him. Many colleagues were injured while trying to protect him, he added.

Chhatra Dal leader Nahid claimed that the lawyers sought to withdraw the case against the plaintiff's will. "We received information and intervened to rescue the plaintiff from their control," he said.-UNB
