In a departure from previous years, when the results were inaugurated by the former prime minister, this year the announcement will be made solely by the chairman of the relevant education board.
The HSC examinations commenced nationwide on June 30, except in the Sylhet division, where they started on July 9 due to initial delays caused by flooding. The exams faced further interruptions, with a significant postponement on July 18 amid the ongoing quota reform movement, leading to three additional delays.
Ultimately, on August 24, the Ministry of Education canceled all remaining HSC exams in light of student protests. This decision allowed the evaluation of the copies for subjects that students had already completed. For other subjects, a subject mapping method based on SSC results was implemented.
This year, approximately 1,450,790 students from nine general education boards, along with the Madrasha Board and Technical Board, were registered to take the exams across 9,463 educational institutions at 2,275 centers nationwide.
