The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has announced plans to hold a mass gathering at Zero Point in Dhaka’s Gulistan area this Sunday at 12 noon. The event aims to call for the trial of the ruling Awami League, which the movement labels a "fascist party."

The announcement was made on the movement’s official Facebook page at 8 PM on Saturday, as leaders and activists vowed to mobilize supporters for the event.

This comes shortly after the Awami League, the country’s ruling party, announced its own protest march at Zero Point, scheduled for 3 PM on the same day. The party revealed its plans via a press release posted on its official Facebook page earlier on Saturday.

The overlapping schedules have set the stage for a potentially tense showdown between the two groups at the iconic Zero Point location.
