Govt. forms commission to probe BDR massacre in 2009

The government has formed a seven-member commission led by former director general of BGB A L M Fazlur Rahman to probe into the BDR massacre at Pilkhana on February 25, 2009.


Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) today said this at a function at BGB headquarters on the occasion of BGB Day, said a PID handout.

The commission will be comprised of two members from armed forces, one member from civil service, one from police and a teacher from Dhaka University and Jagannath University each, reports BSS.

The Chief Advisor has given approval to the proposal for formation of the probe commission, the home adviser said.
