Home Ministry Bans Saad Followers' Activities at Kakrail Mosque

The Ministry of Home Affairs has imposed a ban on the activities of Maulana Saad Kandlavi's followers at the Kakrail Mosque in Dhaka. Additionally, the government has restricted large gatherings of supporters from another faction of Tabligh Jamaat, led by Maulana Zubair, near the mosque.
The ban, effective from Friday until further notice, was announced by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs in a notice on Thursday.
This action follows a deadly clash on December 18, in which four people were killed and 40 others injured during a confrontation between the two factions at the Biswa Ijtema ground in Tongi, sparked by a dispute over control of the venue. A case has been filed in connection with the violence.
