Amidst the biting cold, the sunlight wasn’t seen while the vehicles were moving with headlights on to avoid accident.

Panchagarh, Jan 15 - On the first day of Bangla month Magh, the northwestern district of Panchagarh was covered with dense fog, disrupting daily life.

As of filing this report at 10:45am, the sunlight wasn’t seen while the vehicles were moving with headlights on to avoid accident.

People are not going outside unless it's urgent amid the chilly breeze blowing from the Himalayas. The low-income people, children, and senior citizens are the worst sufferers caused by the biting cold.

Jitendranath Roy, officer-in-charge of Tetulia Weather Observation Centre, said they recorded temperature at 9.5 degree Celsius at 9am with a hundred percent humidity.

He, however, informed that the district saw a temperature of 9.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday.-UNB
