While the fishermen were freed, they claimed that their fishing nets and catch were seized by the Myanmar Navy. The fishermen had been detained the previous afternoon for allegedly crossing the Bangladesh maritime boundary into Myanmar's waters, the UNO reported.
"The fishermen arrived this morning, and the coast guard is currently investigating the incident," Uddin said. "Regarding their confiscated goods, the fishermen have stated that their fish and nets were taken, and we are looking into the matter."
