The Bangladesh Army has reiterated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and ensuring the safety of its citizens.

A senior army official stated that the army will take stricter measures against any activities that could result in loss of life, property damage, mob violence, or public suffering.

Describing the corridor as a highly sensitive issue, the official affirmed that the army would not engage in any action that compromises national security or undermines the integrity of the border.

He emphasised that the army is working tirelessly to protect the nation’s sovereignty, security, and the lives and properties of its people amid evolving circumstances.

Army personnel have been deployed in all 62 districts, including remote char areas, to maintain law and order in accordance with directives from the Chief of Army Staff.

The official also clarified that there is no rift between the army and the government, affirming that the Bangladesh Army remains firmly committed to national interests.

He added that since the changeover on August 5, the army has been operating in coordination with all relevant sectors to ensure stability and security across the country.
