Finance Adviser expects a quick end to NBR stalemate

Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed on Thursday said the problem in the NBR will be solved very quickly.


“I will hold a meeting next week, we will finalise everything there,” the adviser said emerging from a meeting with the high-ups of the NBR at his ministry that lasted more than two hours.

He requested the agitating NBR officers and emplyees to get back to their normal duties posponding their programmes.

“I will request them(to end the protest) for the sake of the country and the economy,” he said.

NBR chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan said that a good news might come by this night, reports UNB.
