A group of government job seekers blocked Shahbagh intersection this afternoon demanding the reform of the Public Service Commission and reconsidering the final result of 44th BCS.

Under the banner of ‘PSC Reform Movement’ the group blocked Shahbagh and took a sit-in causing the traffic standstill of this area after marching from the central library of Dhaka University.

During that time Police tried to disperse the protesters and a brief clash occurred but there are no reports of injuries.

Later, the protesters moved to Raju Sculpture of DU and announced that the protest will continue until their demands are met, reports UNB.

Salehin Sion, a former student of BUET and an organizer of the protest, said,  “We were marching peacefully toward  Raju Sculpture, and the police suddenly started pushing us from behind. That’s when the clash erupted.”
