Govt Sets Up 80 Vaccination Centres for Hajj Pilgrims

The government has announced 80 vaccination centres across the country where Hajj pilgrims will receive mandatory vaccines ahead of the pilgrimage.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Saturday.

Under Saudi government regulations, pilgrims who complete health screening must receive vaccines for meningitis and influenza before travelling for Hajj.

The ministry said the vaccination schedule will be communicated to pilgrims through SMS sent to their registered mobile numbers.

Pilgrims have been instructed to bring their health check-up report along with a printed copy of their e-health profile downloaded from the Hajj portal (www.hajj.gov.bd
) when arriving at the vaccination centres.

For any Hajj-related information or assistance, pilgrims have been advised to contact the Hajj Call Centre at 16136.

The designated vaccination centres include civil surgeon offices in all districts outside Dhaka.

In Dhaka, vaccination services will be provided at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda Medical College Hospital, Government Employees Hospital, Combined Military Hospital, Central Police Hospital and the Bangladesh Secretariat Clinic.

Outside the capital, selected centres include Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital in Tongi, Gazipur; Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur; Chattogram Medical College Hospital; Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital; Khulna Medical College Hospital; the 250-bed Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogura; and the 250-bed Dinajpur Sadar Hospital.
