Benazir president, Azam gen sec of Shariatpur Journalists' Association
Benazir Ahmed (BanglaVision) and Asaduzzaman Azam (Amar Sangbad) have been elected as President and General Secretary respectively of Shariatpur Journalists' Association, Dhaka for 2022-23.
The committee was announced at its bi-annual general meeting at a restaurant in the capital's Segunbagichar area today.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem attended it as chief guest.
Other officer bearers are: Vice President - Rozina Islam (Prothom Alo), Office Secretary - Mahmudul Hasan (Amar Sangbad), Social Welfare Affairs Secretary - Khalilur Rahman Jewel (ATN Bangla), Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary - Zafar Ahmed (Daily Bangladesh), Sports and Cultural Affairs Secretary - Rajibul Islam (Nagorik Television), Legal Affairs Secretary - Amrul Hasan Bappi (The Daily Star) and Women Affairs Secretary - Zakia Ahmed (Dainik Bangla).
Besides, Mozammel Haque Chanchal (Daily Jugantar), Abdus Salam (Prothom Alo), Mohsin Bepari (Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha-BSS), Ataur Rahman (Dainik Samakal), Habibur Rahman Palash (Dainik Desh Rupantar) and Mohiuddin Tushar (Dainik Ganamukti) have been elected as executive committee members, reports BSS.
