Human chain, rally protest the arrest of journalist Rubel
Journalists of Rangabali stage human chain and rally to protest the arrest of journo Rubel.
Patuakhali: A human chain and protest rally was held protesting the arrest of Kamrul Hasan Rubel, General Secretary of Rangabali Press Club of Patuakhali and correspondent of Dainik Bhorer paper in a false case. Journalists working in print and electronic media held this program in front of the Upazila Parishad on Sunday afternoon.
The speakers demanded immediate withdrawal of the case and unconditional release of the journalist. Otherwise, the speakers warned of announcing a harsh program.
Sikdar Jabir Hossain, reporter of Samay TV, Kamrul Hasan of Jugantar and 71 TV, M Sohail of Kaler Kantha, Dilip Das of Sangbad Sarabela and Principal of Rangabali Saleha Secondary School Firoz Ahmed spoke at the rally among others.
