UNB’s Sadrul Hasan wins ERF Best Reporting Award

Dhaka, Nov 5 - UNB’s Special Correspondent Sadrul Hasan has won the ERF-Nagad Best Reporting Award 2023 in the investigative reporting category.

He was awarded for the report titled 'The Tk 700 crore per month hole in the deal with Adani Power'. The report was selected as the best investigative report where he presented how Bangladesh was incurring a loss of Tk 700 crore per month for the irrational deal with Indian Adani Group for importing electricity.

Finance and Commerce Advisor of the Interim government Dr Salehuddin Ahmed handed over the award at a function as the chief guest, held at Sonargaon Hotel in the city on Tuesday evening.

With Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) president Refayet Ullah Mirdha in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Ahsan H. Masur, Nagad Board Chairman KAS Murshid, its administrator Muhammad Badiuzzaman Dider and ERF General Secretary Abul kashem. - UNB
