We are thrilled to share that Tuesday’s Summit, Advancing Food Is Medicine Approaches in support of the White House’s National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health was a huge success! Thank you for tuning in and we hope you enjoyed the day!

As a next step, Food Tank and our partners at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University will summarize our findings from the day for the White House’s consideration. These takeaways will be used to develop strategies as they continue their work to scale food is medicine interventions and improve the research needed to address food and nutrition insecurity.

But it is not just us the White House wants to hear from — we need your voice too! If you would like to learn more about the White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities, you can do so HERE. And to potentially join the challenge by making a big, bold commitment to end hunger and improve human health by 2030 with the launch of a NEW project, you can complete White House’s interest form HERE. Interest forms should be completed as soon as possible and commitments must be submitted no later than August 18, 2023.

As Catherine Oakar, Special Assistant to the President for Community Public Health and Disparities at the White House said on Tuesday, “Every single person in this room, every single person listening and beyond can play a role. Small, big, it doesn’t matter. If we’re going to make change, it has to be together.”
