Dhaka,  1 Aug – The Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) organized a special mental performance workshop titled “Train Your Mind” for national hockey players at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium in Dhaka. The workshop aimed at enhancing the players' mental strength, psychological resilience and overall performance on the field.

The programme was designed to help players improve concentration, build self-confidence, manage emotions and develop a winning mindset to perform effectively under pressure during competitive matches.

Organizers expressed optimism that the initiative would play a significant role in improving the standard of Bangladesh hockey under the slogan “Not a Dream, This Time History.”

The workshop was conducted by a team of experienced freelance consultant and mental health professionals. Freelance consultant Arif Siddiqui served as the lead trainer, while freelance consultant Md. Hanif worked as the associate trainer.

Jannatul Ferdous, Clinical Psychologist at Prottay, was also part of the expert panel, providing guidance on the players' mental health and psychological well-being.

The BHF believes that in modern hockey, mental preparation and tactical awareness are just as important as physical fitness.

Through this workshop, the federation hopes the players would be better equipped to cope with the psychological pressures of international competitions and deliver improved performances for Bangladesh.BSS
