Asian Online Schools Chess championships begins

DHAKA - The girls section of the Asian Online

Schools Chess championships has begun from today (Friday) at the
online chess platform Tornelo.

  A total of 14 girls' chess players from Bangladesh are participating
in different age categories in girls divisions.

  The first, second and third round matches were held today. At the
end of the third round, women's FIDE Master Noshin Anjum in the girls
under-17 group and Warsia Khushbu in the girls under-9 group are
sharing lead in the points table with three points each in their
respective group.

  In the girl's, under-13 group, Ishrat Jahan Diba is sharing second
position with two and a half points while Aliza Nusaiba Islam earned
two points, Syeda Nushaiba Mahmud bagged one point and Wadifa Ahmed
earned half points after the third round matches.

  In the girl's under-15 group, Nusrat Jahan Alo earned 1.5 points and
Saptarshi Rahman secured one point and in the girl's under-9 group,
Zunairah Rahman earned one point while in the girl's under-11 group,
Neelava Choudhury earned one point.

   Arisa Hossain Tuba in the girl's under-7 group, Fatiha Eyenoon Diya
in the girl's under-13 group, Omnia Binte Yusuf Lubaba in the girl's
under-15 group and Nawrin Fatema Toa in the girls under-76 group did
not get any point.

  The fourth, fifth and sixth round matches will be held tomorrow (Saturday).

  A total 361 girls from 24 countries in Asia are participating in the
girl's section in different age categories.BSS
