BOA mourns death of Shajahan Hamid

Dhaka, 15 June  - Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Shahjahan Hamid, youngest son of Bangladesh Handball Federation's former president late Colonel Abdul Hamid

and international woman's master Rani Hamid. Shajahan Hamid, popularly known as Bobby Hamid in the sports arena, passed

away Wednesday morning due to brain cancer at a city hospital at
11.30 am at the age of 59, said a BOA press release.

In a condolence message, BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza and all officials and employees of BOA expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Shahjahan Hamid and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

In another message, Bangladesh Chess Federation also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Shahjahan Hamid.
