Birmingham, 30 July  - New Zealand expatriate Bangladeshi gymnast Ali Kader Haque narrowly failed to reach the final round of  gymnastics in ongoing Birmingham Commonwealth Games on Friday.

Eleven best gymnasts will go the final round, but Kader finished 12th
after scoring 13.375 in the men's vault qualifiers event.

However, Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation's officials hoped that medals would come through Ali Kader in the upcoming 5th Islamic Solidarity Games because this 19-year-old gymnast become 12th out of 60 competitors in the Commonwealth Games which the federation officials consider it as positive result.
