Bangladesh face Singapore in quarterfinal

Dhaka, 6 June  - Bangladesh archery team face Singapore in the compound women's team event quarterfinal of Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament which is now being held in Singapore. 

 
Earlier, the Bangladesh archery team featuring Shamoly Roy, Bonna Akter and Puspita Jaman reached quarterfinal after getting bye in the pre quarterfinal match. 

The Bangladesh archery team featuring Sagor Islam, Mohammad Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Ramkrishno Saha recurve men's team event confirmed the pre quarterfinal stage after getting bye in the elimination round match.

Promising archer Diya Siddique, Shima Akter Shimu and Joyti Rani moved round of 1/24 after getting bye in the elimination round recurve women's singles event. 

In the recurve women's team event, Bangladesh finished 11th position among the 16 teams after scoring 1823 and play the pre quarterfinal match against Australia.

In the compound men's team event, Bangladesh archery team featuring Newaz Ahmed Rakib, Md Sohel Rana and Md. Ashikuzzaman finished 9th position after scoring 2063 and face Chinese Taipei in the pre quarterfinal match.

In the compound mixed team event, Bangladesh comprising Newaz Ahmed Rakib and Shamoly Roy compete against Indonesia.
