Prize distribution of DRU Sports Festival held
Dhaka, 25 July - The prize distribution ceremony of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sports Festival was held Tuesday at Nasrul Hamid Auditorium.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, was the chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony and distributed the prizes.
DRU president Morsalin Nomani presided over the prize distribution ceremony while DRU sports secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman conducted the event.
Jotymoy Mondal of the Daily Jugantor emerged sportsman of the year in men’s section while Maksuda Lisa of Voice of Asia Shamsunnahar Binu of Bangladesh Television joint emerged as sportsmen of the year in women’s section.
The sportsmen of the year of the competition were awarded cash prize of Taka ten thousand each.
Nearly two-month DRU sports festival was held with the participation of its members and their kids in twenty five events.
