Bangladesh earn creditable draw against China

Hangzhou, China, 24 Sept - Bangladesh Olympic football team earned a creditable draw against host China after the score line ended goalless in their last group A match of 19th Asian Games men's football held at Xiaoshan Sports Centre Stadium on Sunday. 

Perhaps even head coach Javier Cabrera could not have imagined that his boys would play impressive football in the last match. Before the match against China, many thought Bangladesh is going to concede big margin of defeat against China, who are 109 steps ahead than Bangladesh in the FIFA ranking, but in the field, the Bangladeshi footballers proved their worth forcing China to play goalless draw on their own soil.

The boys and red and green played impressive brand of football and fought neck to neck against the hosts till the final whistle. 

Bangladesh earlier eliminated from the group stage following their previous two matches defeat against Myanmar and India while China already confirmed their next round wining their previous group two matches. 

Earlier, Bangladesh Olympic football team lost a 1-0 goal defeat to Myanmar in their group opening match and again suffered an identical margin of 1-0 goal defeat to India in their second match.
