Dhaka, 20 Feb - Bangladesh Ansar emerged as champions in both men's and women's section in the open 12th Services (Men and Women) Wrestling competition that concluded today (Tuesday) at Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex in the city.
Ansar won a total of ten medals including five gold, three silver and two
bronze medals in the men's section to emerge champions while Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) became runners-up with also ten medals including three gold, equal numbers of silver and four bronze medals. Bangladesh Army finished at third position with nine medals including two gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
Ansar also maintained their supremacy in the women's section with ten medals including seven gold, two silver and one bronze medals while Bangladesh Army finished behind the Ansar with eight medals including two gold and eight silver medals. Bangladesh Police become the third with five medals with one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
Jewel of Bangladesh Army (74 kg) in men's section and Rozina of Bangladesh Ansar (76 kg) in woman's section were adjudged the best players in the finals for their impressive performance. Both received cash prizes of Taka five thousand each.
