National Men's Handball final to be held tomorrow

Dhaka, 5 March- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) take on Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party in the final match of EXIM Bank 34th National Men's Handball competition scheduled to be held Wednesday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.

The match kicks off at 3 pm, following the place-deciding match between Bandarban District Sports Association (DSA) and Bangladesh Police Handball Club which will be held at the same venue at 1 pm.

Bank Association of Bangladesh and EXIM Bank Limited PLC chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mujumder will be the chief guest in the final and distribute the prizes.

EXIM Bank Limited PLC managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Firoz Hossain will be there as the special guest. 

Bangladesh Handball Federation's president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul will preside over the prize distribution ceremony.

On way to the final today (Tuesday), BGB beat Bandarban DSA by 46-29 goals in the first semifinal while Bangladesh Ansar defeated Bangladesh Police Handball Club by 40-30 goals in the second semis.

Meanwhile in the day's second round matches, BGB beat Chapainawabganj DSA by 35-1 goals, Bangladesh Ansar defeated Rajshahi DA by 52-12 goals, Bangladesh Police Handball Club outclassed Kushtia DSA by 34-21 goals and Bandarban DSA overpowered by 26-12 goals. 

A total of 34 teams -- thirty one district sports associations and three services teams - are taking part in the meet, sponsored by EXIM Bank Limited and organized by BHF.
