International Day of Sport for Development and Peace observed in Rangamati

Rangamati, 6 April  - The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace 2024 was observed in the hilly town today.

The global theme for 2024 is "Sport for the Promotion of Peaceful and Inclusive Societies".

To mark the day, a colorful rally paraded different streets in the town this morning. A discussion was also organized in the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharrof Hossain Khan took part in the discussion as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Siful Islam, Sadar upazila Nirbahi Officer Rifat Asma, Mohila Vice Chairman Nasrin Islam, General Secretary of Zilla Krira Sangstha Shafiul Azam and footballer Barun Kikash were present.

Noted sportsmen and women were greeted after the discussion at the conference room.
