Imranur eliminated from preliminary heat

Dhaka, 3 Aug - Bangladesh's fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman was eliminated from the preliminary heat in the 10m sprint event of the Paris Olympics after finishing sixth among eight participants on Saturday.

The 31-year-old sprinter, who ran in one of the six preliminary heats, clocked 10.73 seconds to finish his race, slower than his personal best of 10.11 seconds.

The England-based sprinter started well in the first 50 meters but eventually, he could not keep the challenge held at the purple track at Stade de France.
