National Wrestling competition begins

Dhaka, Nov 13- The 36th National Senior Men's and 10th National Women's Wrestling competition has begun from Wednesday at the National Handball Stadium in the city, said a press release.

The first and second round of both men's and women's section matches were held on the first day of the two-day competition.

A total of 300 male and female players from various districts across the country are taking part in the twenty weight categories.

Earlier, before start of the competition, the federation officials offered special prayer and munajat in remembrance of late national wrestler, Bangladesh national team's coach and referee Jahangir Alam, who died on October 14.

The competition will end Thursday through a prize distribution ceremony.
