Spirited Bangladesh prepared to face Pakistan Junior Asia Cup tomorrow

Dhaka, 27 Nov - After a convincing victory over host Oman, spirited Bangladesh national U-21 hockey team faces strong Pakistan in their second Pool B match of the Men's Junior Asia Cup scheduled to be held tomorrow (Thursday) at Hockey Oman Stadium in Muscat, Oman.

The match kicks off at 1845 pm Bangladesh time.

Bangladesh earlier made a winning start in the tournament beating Oman by 3-1 goals in their pool B opening match held on Tuesday last. 

Bangladesh will play their remaining group matches against Malaysia and China on November 30 and December 1 respectively at the same venue.

The eleventh edition of the Junior Asia Cup will continue till December 4, with ten teams, divided into two groups, will take part in the event.

The top six teams will qualify for the next year's Hockey Junior World Cup.

Bangladesh junior hockey team earlier confirmed their spot in the Junior Asia Cup after emerging champions in the qualifiers with a 7-6 victory over hosts Oman in the final held in January.
