Dhaka, 2 Dec - Bangladesh take on Thailand in the place-decider of the Men's Hockey Junior Asia Cup scheduled to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at Hockey Oman Stadium in Muscat, Oman.

Bangladesh is already closer to their dream of qualifying for the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup for the first time following a 1-1 draw against China held on Sunday last.

Bangladesh earlier finished third in Pool B with five points, behind table topper Pakistan and Malaysia and ahead of China and Oman.

A win against the fourth place finishers from Pool A Thailand will take Bangladesh to next year's Junior World Cup which will held in India. The top six teams will qualify for the next year's Hockey Junior World Cup.

Earlier, Bangladesh made a winning start in the tournament beating Oman by 3-1 goals but suffered a massive 0-9 goal defeat to Pakistan in their second match.

The boys in red and green put up a brilliant display as they came from behind, forcing Malaysia to play a 2-2 goal draw in their third match of Pool B.
