V-Day rugby meet to be held Saturday

Dhaka, 26 Dec - The 12th Victory Day Rugby competition (men's and women's) will be held on Dec 28 at Outer Stadium in Paltan in the capital.

Valiant freedom fighter Ishtique Aziz Ulfat will formally remain present in the opening and closing ceremony as the chief guest in the day-long meet, organized by Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union.

Valiant freedom fighter Mozammel Haque Mukta will be present as the special guest.

A total of eight teams -- four of men's and equal number of women's -- will compete in the meet which will be held marking the victory day.

The participating men's team are Bangladesh Army, SR Rugby Club, Mirpur Rugby Union and Gopalganj Rugby Union while the women's teams are SHA Academy, SR Rugby Club, Dhaka Commerce College Women's Rugby team and Sonargaon Kazi Fazlul Haque Women's College.
