BOA mourns death of its former member Ashraf Dawla

Dhaka, 10 April -Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ashraf Dawla, former member of the BOA executive committee and founder and former chairman of Special Olympics Bangladesh, said a press release.

The national award-winning sports organizer passed away Thursday in the United States at the age of 89.

He has played an immense role in ensuring the inclusion of the mentally disabled in sports and in the society. 

In a condolence message, the president of BOA and Army Chief Waker-Uz-Zaman and its secretary General Syed Shahed Reza, expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ashraf Dawla and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.BSS
