National Club Cup Sevens Rugby begins

Dhaka, 16 May - Twenty four matches of Chrystal Insurance PLC National Club Cup Sevens Rugby Championship were decided on the first day held at Palton ground adjoining the National Stadium in the capital Friday.

Chrystal Insurance PLC chairman Abdullah Mahmud and distinguished guest Dina Younus were present as the chief guests in the opening ceremony. Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union (BRFU) general secretary Akhter Uz Zaman and its' vice present Abu Mohammad Sazzad, were among others, also present in the opening ceremony.

The quarterfinals will be held Saturday at the same venue. 

A total of twenty four clubs from across the country, split into eight 
groups, are taking part in the two-day meet, sponsored by Cristal Insurance 
PLC and organized by BRFU.
