Ansar, BGB reach semifinal
Dhaka, 23 May - Bangladesh Ansar and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) confirmed their spot of semifinal of the 35th National Men’s Handball competition elimating their respective rivals held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in te capital today (Friday).
Ansar, who emerged as group top, beat Jessore District Sports Association (DSA) by 46-14 goals after leading the first half by 17-7 goals while BGB who also emerged as group champions, defeated Chattogram DSA by 54-13 goals after dominating the first half by 27-4 goals.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh DSA beat Madaripur DSA by 40-22 goals after leading the first half by 23-8 goals, Faridpur DSA outplayed Joypurhat DSA by 32-21 goals after dominating the first half by 16-10 goals, Jamalpur DSA overpowered Gaibandha DSA by 38-25 goals after leading the first half by 18-12 goals and Joypurhat DSA outclassed Gaibandha DSA by 36-30 goals after the first half was ended by 16-16 goals draw.BSS
