Shirin, Rani Hamid takes joint lead after 6th round
Dhaka, 10 May - WIM Sharmin Sultana Shirin and WIM Rani Hamid now took joint lead in the points table with 5.5 points after the 6th or penultimate round games of Begum Laila Alam 12th FIDE Rating Women's Chess tournament now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room.
WFM Noshin Anjum is in 2nd position with 5 points while Nusrat Jahan Alo and Omnia Binta Yusuf Lubaba shared the 3rd position with 4.5 points.
Eight players earned 4 points each. They are Wadifa Ahmed, WFM Zakia Sultana,
Tasnia Tarannum Orpa, Israt Jahan Diba, Sumi Akter, Neelava Choudhury, Nusrat Jahan Liza and Essaba Masnun.
The day's 6th or penultimate round games were held today (Tuesday) with WIM Sharmin Sultana Shirin beat Wadifa Ahmed, WIM Rani Hamid beat WFM Zakia Sultana, WFM Noshin Anjum beat WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, Nusrat Jahan Alo beat Kazi Zarin Tasnil, Israt Jahan Diba split point with Nusrat Jahan Liza, Tasnia Tarannum Orpa beat Jarin Tasnim, Omnia Binta Yusuf Lubaba beat Tabassum Sadia Shahjahan, Neelava Choudhury beat Kaumudi Nargis, Essaba
