Police at Nur Hossain’s home

Police have raided the house of Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the Narayanganj multiple murders, to seize all movable property following a court order. Police went to the house in Tekpara, Shamrail at 3pm Thursday.
Siddhirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Alauddin said police had brought in trucks to carry away the seizures.
A Narayanganj court on had Wednesday ordered the confiscation of Hossain’s movable assets in response to a police petition.On May 4, police conducted its first drive on Hossain’s home following the murder and abduction of Councillor Nazrul Islam. Twelve men were detained from the house and a microbus was seized in that operation.
Next, illegal structures on the banks of the Shitalakhyya River controlled by Nur Hossain were demolished. Large quantities of illegal drugs were recovered from his shop at the Shimrail truck-stand.
Hossain was the vice-president of Awami League’s Siddhirganj unit but was removed from the post soon after he was implicated in the murders.
On Apr 27, within hours of the abductions, Nazrul’s supporters burned down Hossain’s office.
Rapid Action Battalion believes Hossain has fled to
