49 police inspectors sent into mandatory retirement

The government has sent 49 police inspectors into compulsory retirement from public service.


The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Police-2 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.

According to the notification, signed by Senior Secretary of the ministry Manzur Morshed Chowdhury, the 49 officers serving in Bangladesh Police had completed 25 years of service, reports UNB.

They were sent into retirement from the service in the public interest under Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.
