Alleged mugger spotted via video footage held in Dhaka's Jatrabari
Alleged mugger identified through video footage brought was before reporterd on Friday.
Police arrested a man in the capital's Jatrabari area on Friday morning after identifying him through video footage for snatching a vanity bag from a moving bus.
The arrestee was identified as Md. Roknuzzaman Rokon, 26.
According to Jatrabari Police Station sources, a police team analyzed video footage of the bag-snatching incident on the moving bus and successfully identified Rokon.
Later, police conducted a drive in the Shanir Akhra area under Jatrabari Police Station around 7:00 a.m. on Friday and apprehended him.
Md. Akhtar Hossain, Media and Public Relations Division Deputy Commissioner of DMP, said Rokon faces multiple cases related to preparing for robbery at various police stations.
He has been produced before a court for further legal proceedings. - UNB
