Faruk Ahmed appointed new SRB chief

Additional Inspector General of Police Faruk Ahmed has been appointed Director General (DG) of Special Response Battalion (SRB), replacing Md. Ahsan Habib Palash, who has been transferred to Police Headquarters.


Faruk, previously serving as Additional IGP of Highway Police, received the new assignment as part of a major reshuffle involving 13 senior police officials.

The Home Ministry issued the transfer notification in this regard today, stating that the order would take immediate effect, reports BSS.
